Pregnancy Testing and Why It's Important
Free pregnancy testing is available at all of our Colorado Springs locations. Urine pregnancy tests indicate whether your urine contains a hormone called hCG, which is the hormone a woman's body produces after a fertilized egg attaches to the wall of her uterus. When you take a pregnancy test, if this hormone is elevated, it will cause the test to be positive.
The urine pregnancy test is most accurate after your first missed period. One week following your missed period is a good standard.
If you have missed your period and think you may be pregnant, stop by one of our clinics for a free pregnancy test. You will find out the results at the same appointment. When done correctly, urine pregnancy tests are 97% accurate and should be trusted.
If you are pregnant, we will help you understand your options, figure out how far along you are, and your approximate due date.
