Can you help me know if my unborn baby is healthy?We can provide you with limited ultrasounds. These ultrasounds provide valuable information regarding the viability of the pregnancy, the stage of the baby's development, and any noticeable complications.
I'm pregnant and so scared! Can you prepare me to be a mom?
Yes! We offer classes in prenatal development and teach you how to eat nutritiously during pregnancy. We'll train you about childbirth too, so you are prepared for the birth of your child. When you participate in the classes, you can earn credits toward helpful items like a baby crib, car seat, and other supplies.
How do I know how far I am into my pregnancy?
An ultrasound will give accurate information in these areas:
- The health of your pregnancy - An ultrasound will show whether your pregnancy is viable (healthy), whether the baby has a heartbeat, and if there are any noticeable complications to you or your baby.
- The stage of the pregnancy - An ultrasound will help you determine the gestational age of the baby and how far along you are in your pregnancy.
The CDC, the U.S. Surgeon General, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Academy of Pediatrics advise pregnant women not to drink alcohol at all. They say that women who drink alcohol put their babies at risk of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
How can I find help with items I need to have before the baby comes?
You want the best for your baby and our baby store in the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center provides a place where you can earn credits toward free items. When you participate and complete classes, you can earn credits toward items in the LifeSteps Baby Boutique. At the boutique, you can earn a crib, car seat, baby clothing, and other baby supplies.
Can you help the baby's father?
We offer one-on-one support with a male coach to discuss the options, emotions, and how to be supportive of the mother and child.
