Ultrasounds and the Potential Benefits
The Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center provides free limited ultrasounds to women in Colorado Springs. Ultrasounds provide valuable information to expectant mothers, especially those who are making the difficult decision between keeping their baby, abortion, or adoption.Ultrasounds are simple and painless. Warm gel will be placed on your stomach and then the transducer will be placed against your skin. It will be moved back and forth while sound waves are transmitted into your stomach. The results will show a picture of your pregnancy-a real time look at the child growing inside of you. Our pregnancy center provides limited ultrasounds and will answer these questions:
- Is my pregnancy viable (healthy)?
- What stage of pregnancy am I in?
- Does my baby have a heartbeat?
- Are there any noticeable complications? For example, it would be notable if you have an Ectopic Pregnancy. This is when the fertilized egg is in the fallopian tubes. If this is the case, you will need to seek medical attention.
If you are interested in a limited ultrasound at our center in Colorado Springs, contact us for more details. You will need to take a pregnancy test and speak with one of our consultants to estimate how far along you are in your pregnancy prior to the ultrasound.
If you plan to parent, placing the baby for adoption, or are considering an abortion, an ultrasound is a helpful option. The more facts you have, the easier it is to make a decision that is right for you and baby.
Our main concern is that you are able to think through your decision and understand all your options. We encourage you to come and talk with us. We are here for you. All services are free and confidential. Call our office for more information 719-591-2724.
